John Keats was an English poet and literary critic. John Keats, English poet, was born in London, England, on 29 or 31 Oct. 1795. He died of tuberculosis in Italy on 23 Feb. 1821. In 1810, Keats was articled to a surgeon, T. Hammond, in Edmonton for five years. The contract was broken in 1814 or 1815. Hyder Edward Rollins (1889-1958) was born in Abilene, Texas. In 1910 he received a B.A. from Southwestern University, an M.A. from the University of Texas in 1912, and a Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1917. In 1919 he went to Europe on a Harvard Sheldon Traveling Fellowship and in 1920 he was appointed assistant professor at New York University, becoming a full professor four years later.
